Third Day's Mac Powell and Mark Lee were interviewed by CNN Anchor Kathleen Kennedy on Nov. 1 for a live segment on "CNN Headline News" that was repeated several times throughout the day. The segment focused on the band and its commitment to helping those impacted in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

To date, the band's hurricane relief campaign has raised more than $195,000, according to a label press release. Nov. 1 also was the launch date for for the band's newest project, Wherever You Are (Essential Records). The day's activities included the start of an eight-city mini-tour, "Third Day All Access: Stories And Songs Tour," the band is doing with longtime promotional partner Chevrolet. The mini-tour kicked off in the band's hometown of Atlanta and was broadcast live on the Internet through Earthlink LIVE and the band's Web site, as well as on SKY 1 Radio Networks.
