Rush Of Fools

I think I went through a phase when I was in high school with that. I was really struggling with where God wanted me to be and where I needed to go with my life and I had a lot of things going on. I played worship music at church and that really wasnít a big deal but also worked on cars with my dad and I played baseball. I didnít know where I was going to go or what I was going to do. You know, itís a really scary time, I mean, half way through my like my senior year and I still had no idea where I was going to college or what I was going to do with my life. And finally was just like, you know God, I know You really do have control over everything but I think Iíve finally come to realize that. And so, you know what, if You want me to do this thing, then just open that door and close another one. If you want me to this, open this door and close another one. And, I tried to sit on that and just be patient and really just kind of focus on what God wanted me-- wanted for my life and then, you know, finally He did slam a door and open up another one. And now, Iím playing music which is the least of what I thought I was going to be doing with my life. So, I think you just really have to sit back and really focus in on God and where He wants you to go.

I think in the culture that we live in, in my own life, and in each otherís lives, I think we found ourselves even growing up in church and being part of church very religious but not very relational with Christ. And, one of the desires that we have is to try to help in any way that we can for young people, old people, it doesnít matter. We want to be able to take our masks off and not pretend like weíve got this life figured out, not pretend like we donít have struggles and sins in our life. And we want we exist as a church, the church body as a whole, as a family and as a family that can lean on each other and support each other and hold each other accountable. And when we pretend, like weíve got it all figured out, it hurts us inside and all that stuff is, you know, all held in. And I think what we would love to see as a group, not even a generation, I just think the church as a whole, you know, let us wake up. And we have to ask God and by His grace, Heís the only one that can do this. But for God just to wake us up and help us just to be real with each other and to love each other no matter our flaws and our weaknesses but through that we could be honoring the gospel that much more.
