BUILDING 429 FINISHES OUT 60-DAY PROMOTIONAL TOUR IN SUPPORT OF RISE
13 March 2006

Word Records reigning New Artist of the Year Building 429 warms up for the release of its sophomore album, Rise, March 14 with a comprehensive promotional tour, including radio visits, media interviews, a music video and cameo movie appearance. The band will top off its two-month-long Rise awareness campaign with a final 9-city jaunt, ending March 19.

Building 429 began its crusade early in 2006 with a video shoot for current radio single, Fearless, at Joplin Ranch on the outskirts of Orange County, Calif. The video, produced in conjunction with venture missionaries Tim Scott and Will Decker of Travel the Road ministries, will serve as both a media tool and thematic centerpiece for its upcoming Rise Tour. The Trinity Broadcasting Networks youth channel JC-TV accompanied Building 429 and will air a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Fearless this spring.

The band was also assigned a cameo role in the upcoming Eaglerock Entertainment film A Simple Twist of Faith, and rounded out its Los Angeles stay on set with celebrities such as John Schneider (Dukes of Hazzard, Smallville). Other promotional television appearances included FamilyNets At Home Live in Dallas, which aired Feb. 9 and Tennessee Mornings in Nashville, Tenn. on Feb. 21. Building 429 will additionally be featured on an upcoming episode of One Cubed, the Christian Broadcasting Networks teen video show seen in more than 60 countries and by 100 million viewers worldwide.

Radio was a main focus of the bands efforts, with visits to stations in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Calif., Dallas , Houston, Tulsa, Okla., Colorado Springs, Colo. , Orlando, Fla. and Tampa, Fla. Kicking off the last leg of its promo run March 13, Building 429 will further call on radio in Birmingham, Ala., Chattanooga, Tenn., Charlotte, N.C., Winston- Salem, N.C., Louisville, Ky., Cincinnati and Minneapolis. The weeks activities will include brown bag concerts, youth events, bookstore performances, and the national anthem at a Minnesota Timberwolves game.

Currently the bands single Fearless is at No. 8 on Radio & Records Christian Hit Radio chart. Details on its upcoming Rise Tour featuring Michael Tait, Travel the Road and special guest Hyper Static Union are forthcoming. For more information, visit: www.building429.com.

Currently comprising Jason Roy (lead vocals, guitar), Scotty Beshears (bass), Jesse Garcia (guitar, keyboard), and Michael Anderson (drums), Building 429 released its Glory Defined EP in early 2004. The projects title track and debut single set multiple radio records, hitting the number one position on eight different radio charts. The song climbed to number one on Christian Radio Weeklys Adult Contemporary chart faster than any other single in the publications history, remaining there for ten consecutive weeks. On Radio & Records, Glory Defined was the first single from a debut artist to hold 100% of the Adult Contemporary panel all at the same time, and only the second time for any artist, debut or veteran.

Building 429 was also involved in 2004s Redeem The Vote campaign with member Jason Roy acting as spokesperson for the organization, garnering support through appearances on Fox News Live, CNN, ABCs Nightline, and other major network affiliates. This year Building 429 was voted the Gospel Music Associations New Artist of the Year, and Glory Defined received additional recognition as BMIs 2005 Song of the Year. The band has toured with Jeremy Camp, Todd Agnew and most recently Casting Crowns on its LifeSong Tour this fall.
