Media Fixates On Starfield’s BROKEN
18 July 2006

Two months after its release, great reviews are still coming in for Canadian rock/worship band Starfield’s second Sparrow Records release, BEAUTY IN THE BROKEN.

CBN.com calls the disc, “exceptionally fascinating . . . Starfield gets you with their lyrics that go the extra mile.” HM magazine says, “Whether you are listening to their stellar modern rock riffs or being inspired by their heartfelt worship style, Starfield is clearly a band without a ceiling.”

PhantomTollbooth.com reports, “While the heavenward lyrics are strong and clear, the band also has the musical chops to back up their bold statements with equally bold hooks and instrumental touches.” ChristianityToday.com takes special note of “My Generation,” the first single from BEAUTY IN THE BROKEN, calling it “a killer modern rocker about the world’s need for God.”

Prior to its release, CCM magazine was calling BEAUTY IN THE BROKEN “a shooting star worth catching . . . consider Starfield one to put on the ‘must catch’ list.” Christian Retailing magazine gave the set its “Top Pick” honor and said, “Starfield and the producers have crafted an artistic and inspirational masterpiece . . . one of the musical highlights of the year.”

InfuzeMag.com wrote, “Starfield may be putting out the single best rock record the Christian genre has seen in the past year or more.”
