Audio Adrenaline Farewell Concert
23 October 2006

One of the industries top bands, 2004 and 2006 GRAMMY Awards winning Audio Adrenaline announces that their farewell concert will be Saturday, April 28, in Honolulu, Hawaii. To be held at the esteemed Waikiki Shell (shown below), Audio Adrenaline will be joined for the “Aloha-Adios” concert spectacular by MercyMe, worship artist Phil Wickham and comedian Bob Smiley.

Audio Adrenaline announced earlier this year that their time as a band is coming to a close. In celebration of their 15-year, award-winning career, AudioA released a commemorative recording, ADIOS: The Greatest Hits, in August. Now the band is inviting their fans to join them in Hawaii for an unforgettable “concert-of-a-lifetime” and group travel experience, called “Audio Adrenaline’s ALOHA Adventure.”

The event, to be held April 26-30, is a five-day group trip to Waikiki, Honolulu, open to Audio Adrenaline fans from all parts of the mainland. Featured aspects of the trip include a private aloha welcome breakfast, a meet ‘n’ greet luau dinner show, surfing with the AudioA members, tourist visits to Pearl Harbor and Hanauma Bay (for breathtaking snorkeling) and the best seats to the April 28 farewell concert at the Waikiki Shell.

“The idea for AudioA to play their farewell concert in Hawaii came from the guys themselves,” explains band manager Scott Brickell. “Most people know the guys love action adventure, so why not let fans who want to, join them in one of the surfing paradise settings of the world and enjoy the special moment of their farewell concert, too?”

Trip organizer, Honnie Korngold of Christian Travel Finder, explains the rundown for the five-day, mid-winter getaway. “Thursday, April 26, is travel day for those coming from the mainland. On Friday and Sunday, it’s hanging with the bands, the luau, sightseeing, snorkeling and surfing, with the farewell concert itself on Saturday, April 28. Monday, April 30, is travel-home day. Of course, people can add a day or two on either end of the trip if they wish to stretch their Hawaii vacation.”

The group trip includes airfare, four nights of lodging at either a three-star or four-star Waikiki quality hotel on or near the beach (customer’s choice), the welcome breakfast, round-trip ground transfers to the hotel and concert and the absolutely best seats to the concert. Trip prices range from $1,175 to $1,950 depending on hotel accommodations (three or four-star) and if departing from the East or West Coast. West Coast departures are significantly less. Some trip options and activities, such as sightseeing excursions and the luau, are additional.

“Christian Travel Finder’s bulk buying power has allowed us to secure some group rates that can’t be touched by individuals traveling on their own,” suggests Brickell. “It is always expensive to fly to Hawaii, but these fantastic group prices are in place for departures from major cities in any region of the mainland—East, Central or West Coast.”

As with any group travel, prices and availability are best when purchased early, so fans are urged to register soon. Regarding hotel accommodations, levels other than 3-star or 4-star are available (2 or 5 for example), by asking the tour sales representative when you call.

“How about giving someone special Audio Adrenaline’s ALOHA Adventure for Christmas?” adds Korngold. “Buy the trip now, and then surprise your loved one on Christmas with a trip to Hawaii that stretches Christmas out to April.”

The group trip and concert is being produced by Celebration Concerts of San Jose, California (www.celebrationconcerts.com). For more trip details and specifics, contact Christian Travel Finder at 1-888-518-7571.

Although retiring due to front man Mark Stuart’s ongoing vocal challenges, the band has since 1991 sold over three million records and racked up 18 No. 1 singles, two GRAMMY Awards and four Dove Awards. The band’s Bloom recording was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1999 and they were awarded the prestigious “Song of the Decade” crowning in the 90s for “Big House” by CCM Magazine. ADIOS: The Greatest Hits captures the band’s expansive career boasting 17 tracks, including 12 No. 1 radio hits, two newly recorded songs and a companion DVD featuring a third newly recorded song, a cover of the classic Charlie Peacock song, “Down In The Lowlands,” five Audio Adrenaline videos, live performance footage and more.

More information on the band, including its latest tour itinerary, can be found at www.AudioA.com, pressroom.emicmg.com.
