|itickets AND JIRE UNITE ACROSS INTERNATIONAL BOARDERS
16 July 2007
iTickets.com, America’s preferred Christian event ticket supplier, has joined forces with Jire for an unprecedented partnership to provide online ticketing to South Africa. The new site is proud to launch with the first ticket sales being for Michael W. Smith’s South African tour this October.
iTickets.co.za, now part of the Jire group, provides the platform for Christians all over South Africa to have access to an online tool for staying up-to-date with the latest relevant music events, conferences, concerts, camps, festivals, Christian music news, etc… throughout the nation, thus illuminating events across cultures, languages, cities and denominations with one common element – unity in Christ.
Brian Smith, director of operations for iTickets explains the expansion, “Over the past two years we have been talking with ministries in several countries about expanding iTickets. We are very excited to be partnering with Jire and look forward to expanding our efforts for Christ around the world.”
The first event being featured on iTickets.co.za is the Pretoria performance of the Michael W Smith 2007 tour in October. The event is promoted by Morris Roda Productions and assisted by Jire Events.
With access to the internet, the public can purchase and use tickets in just four easy steps – purchase online, print the ticket from their home printer, have the ticket scanned at the event to gain entrance and then enjoy the event. A call center is also available to assist with tickets for those who do not have internet access.
In addition, organizations such as churches can apply to become ticket outlets. Promoters, media houses, artists, churches etc. can upload events, news letters, artist profiles and performance photos free of charge. Advertising space also available on iTickets.co.za.
iTickets.com, the undisputed leader for Christian event and concert information and for online ticket sales, is the top ranked site for Christian event, concert and conference information, selling tickets to over 1500 concerts and events per year, including Festivals such as Creation, Kingdom Bound and Cornerstone as well as Teen Mania’s Acquire the Fire events. Through a free membership to the site, consumers can receive information personalized to their own preferences and specific to their local region. The site has 400,000 visitors monthly.
Jire was established in 2006 with a mission to positively influence the quality of life for youth in Africa through effective application of Business ethics and Kingdom principles and the goal of delivering specific services to the youth market in Africa across Church denominations. The organization has five divisions which focus on special events, coffee shops, ticket solutions, clothing, media and healthcare respectively. Although these divisions seem completely unrelated, they collectively integrate to achieve the vision and mission of Jire.
