Bethany Dillon Song Featured In New DreamWorks Movie 30 August 2005
“Dreamer,” a new tune co-written and performed by rising 16-year-old recording artist Bethany Dillon, will be featured as the end credit song in the upcoming DreamWorks film, DREAMER: INSPIRED BY A TRUE STORY, starring Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning.
The movie is a heartwarming account of a horse trainer (Russell) and his daughter (Fanning) who nurse an injured horse back to health and strive together to achieve a dream against all odds. Dillon’s song, like the movie, is about sacrifice and faith.
This month, Dillon and her music label, Sparrow Records, will partner with DreamWorks to produce a music video for “Dreamer.” The song will also be serviced as a single to mainstream Hot AC and Triple A radio stations with an impact date of September 12. DREAMER: INSPIRED BY A TRUE STORY hits theaters nationwide October 21. Find out more about the movie at DreamWorks.com/Dreamer.
“Dreamer” is also the opening track on Dillon’s much-anticipated second album, IMAGINATION, in stores everywhere August 16. The project follows her hit self-titled debut, which earned the artist GMA Music Award nominations for New Artist, Female Vocalist, Pop/Contemporary Album, and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year.
In related news, Dillon is also a featured artist on MUSIC INSPIRED BY: THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE (in stores September 27), a soundtrack to the Walt Disney/Walden Media film based on the classic C. S. Lewis book. Find out more about the movie at Narnia.com.
Finally, Dillon will promote all three projects when she joins the 40-city Restored Tour with Jeremy Camp beginning September 7. For concert dates and developing Bethany Dillon news, check out BethanyDillon.com.
