We’ve looked to everybody else to define who we are at times. We as people all too often look to everybody else to tell us who we are. “Oh you guys you haven’t broke top ten yet.” “You’re too commercial.” “You’re not commercial enough.” “You’re this.” “You’re that.” We’ve had good reviews. We’ve had bad reviews. And uh, we say, God, do what You want in this band. You have Your way in this band. Quit looking to everybody else to tell you who you are. You’re not skinny enough. You’re not big enough. You’re not smart enough. You’re too smart. You look to the One who created you, the One who gave you life, the One who knows every hair on your head. And I’m telling you if you’ll look to God to tell you who you are, He will tell you this. He will say that you’re the head and not the tail. That you are above only and not beneath. That you are part of a royal priesthood. That you are more than a conqueror. That you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. And-and that’s who you are.
